Jean Pierre Berchez is a Professional Scrum Trainer, has been working in the field of information technologies since 1992, specialising in software engineering and project management. His first contact with agile and Scrum was in 1995, when he was working at EASEL at the same time as Dr. Jeff Sutherland, who formed the first Scrum team there.
Experience
In his professional career, Jean Pierre Berchez worked for several years in consulting and sales of software engineering tools as well as managing director of IT companies. Since his work as Managing Director of TogehterSoft GmbH from 1999 to 2003, the human factor has been at the core of all Jean Pierre's work. TogetherSoft Germany was organized under Jean Pierre as a company with flat hierarchies and small autonomous sales teams where the employees could shape the organization. Since the agile value system is wonderfully and naturally compatible with this approach, Jean Pierre Berchez today concentrates on the area of continuing education with a focus on Agile and Lean development (be it in the area of product development, sales or organizational development) as well as his focus point Agile Leadership.
Here he works as a certified Scrum trainer (Scrum.org) and Scrum coach. Among other things, he organizes Scrum certification workshops with the inventors of Scrum Dr. Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber, as well as the German Scrum user conference - the Scrum Day (www.scrum-day.de).
